YIN YOGA:

“This is a beautiful practice that honours stillness “

Yin yoga is a slower style of yoga in which poses are held for 3 minutes and eventually up to five minutes or more. It is a type of yoga with roots in traditional Chinese medicine, as well as martial arts. Yin practice focuses specifically on the stimulation of the fascia and compression or extension of the meridians. The 12 main channels that conduct energy, QI, through the body. The practice focuses on the hips, lower back, and thighs. Using props, like bolsters, blankets, and blocks to let gravity do the work, helping you to relax. While other forms of yoga focus on the major muscle groups, yin yoga targets the body’s connective tissues and fascia.
